New To Embroidery: A Guide For Beginners

If you are new to emboidery, then there are forums and blogs with active communities. To begin, you could just keep it old fashion with nothing more than thread and needles. Embroidery machines are also available if you wish to work on more complex designs in less time.

When starting out, it is best to keep it simple. This means sticking to basic designs and patterns.

Letters and simple shapes are good starting points for beginners. The idea is to work your way up to more elaborate designs as you gain more experience.

From letters and basic shapes, you can advance to designs like flowers, animals, cartoon character and so forth.

For those new to emboidery, there are books out there for beginners. These books take a newbie through the basic steps of working with a needle and thread.

You can also browse online for easy tutorials on how to get started. There are also DVDs that will walk you through the steps. These are great if you need a video to follow along.

Embroidery is a great hobby to take up. It allows you to work with your hands to create a beautiful design that will enhance the appeal of any sweater, scarf or cap.

I am looking for machine embroidery classes in the Dallas area. Maybe Fredericksburg or Kerrville. I recently moved from Southeast Texas where I attended classes and really would like to join a group! Any recommendations??
